Entry Requirements: 14 credits at NCEA Level 1 English, or at Head of Learning's discretion.
Course Outline:
Students will analyse and use language communicated orally, visually and in writing. The course includes:
- making meaning of ideas or information they receive (Listening, Reading, and Viewing);
- creating meaning for themselves or others (Speaking, Writing, and Presenting).
Assessment:
- Internal credits - up to 14
- External credits - 8
- Total credits - up to 22
University Entrance Literacy:
Up to 12 University Entrance Reading credits
Up to 14 University Entrance Writing credits
