Visual Arts Printmaking - NCEA Level 2

Entry Requirements: Open to all students.


Course Outline:

Students will develop specialist skills and knowledge in printmaking. Students use drawing to apply knowledge and understanding of specific techniques, processes and conventions. They will undertake research into methods and ideas of established and contemporary printmaking practice which will inform the development of an original portfolio of artwork based on a personal theme.


Assessment:

  • Internal credits - up to 8
  • External credits - up to 12
  • Total credits - up to 20


Comments: It is strongly recommended that the student has studied Visual Arts at Level 1.


This course leads to: Level 3 Visual Art Printmaking


Costs: Printmaking students will purchase an Art kit from Gordon Harris (approximately $130)
