Physics - NCEA Level 3

Entry Requirements: 14 credits at Level 2 Physics, or at Head of Learning's discretion.


Course Outline:

Physics is the science that deals with matter and energy and their actions upon each other in fields such as electricity, heat, light, mechanics and sound. The five main areas of study are:

  • Practical Investigation
  • Modern Physics
  • Mechanics
  • Electricity and Electromagnetism
  • Waves


Assessment:

  • Internal credits - up to 10
  • External credits - up to 16
  • Total credits - up to 26


Approved subject for University Entrance: This subject is considered an Approved Subject for University Entrance
