Accounting - NCEA Level 2
Entry Requirements: 14 credits at Level 1 Accounting or 14 credits at Level 1 Mathematics, or at Head of Learning's discretion.
Course Outline:
This course focuses on management. Students will examine the systems within a business, safe-guarding assets, reporting accurately, management effectiveness and operational efficiency. XERO, a computer accounting software package is learned as well as an analysis and presentation of financial reports for small business.
Assessment:
- Internal credits - up to 10
- External credits - up to 9
- Total credits - up to 19
Comments:
There is potential for a further 9 internal Business Studies credits for students with a viable business idea. This is at teacher's discretion and carried out over two years in the students own time.
