Boarding

Boarding at Whanganui Collegiate School is not simply a place to live but quickly becomes a home for students while at school.

With senior students mentoring junior students, the House quickly provides students a sense of belonging and friendship.  Houses become a place to meet friends, to study and relax.

Morning and afternoon teas are hosted daily in each House to welcome both boarding and day students throughout the academic day.  Notices and roll calls ensure our students are well informed, so they never miss out

Our live in Housemasters, Matrons, and Residential Tutors means that there is someone available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for guidance, supervision and support.

Whanganui Collegiate School’s boarding options vary from Full Boarding, Regional Boarding, Whanganui Boarding, and Casual Boarding. More information about Whanganui Collegiate School's boarding options can be found online.

Review of Applications

All Boarding applications are reviewed by the Preference Committee.  Preference candidates will be considered for a place according to WCS Enrolment Scheme and places allocated according to the priority as outlined in the scheme.

Non-preference candidates will be considered if the number of available places exceeds the number of approved Preference candidates.
