Wanganui Collegiate School Foundation Bursary Programme

A limited number of bursaries are available to new WCS students requiring some financial assistance.  Applications are made in confidence to the Wanganui Collegiate School Foundation, Attn: Gillian Lennox. 2019 applications close 31 July 2018.

Whanganui College Board of Trustees Bursary Application and the Wanganui Collegiate School Bursary is primarily for current WCS families who have been met with extenuating financial circumstances while attending Wanganui Collegiate School. Applications are made in confidence and can be delivered to the Wanganui Collegiate School Administration office, Attn: Finance Manager.

Scholarships

Māori Education Trust 2018 Secondary Scholarships

Mihingare (Anglican) Secondary School Scholarships
provided by the St Stephen’s and Queen Victoria Schools Trust Board

The Mihingare (Anglican) Secondary School Scholarships are for Maori secondary school students who demonstrate financial need, leadership qualities/potential and a satisfactory educational background, and who will benefit from additional financial support for their secondary schooling. Each year, a maximum of 30 scholarships worth up to $10,000 each are offered.

Ministry of Education Boarding Bursary Allowance

If your family lives in a remote area or faces other barriers to achieving at school, you can apply for funding administered by the Ministry of Education to grant your child the opportunity to board and focus on their studies.

The Henry & William Williams Memorial Trust Scholarship

The scholarships are for Maori secondary school students, who are commencing year 9 of their education, who demonstrate leadership qualities/potential, a satisfactory educational background, and who will benefit from financial support to access quality educational pathways.

The scholarship is for $ 8000 per annum and may be continued for successful applicants for up to 4 years, subject to evidence of satisfactory progress.  Applicants must be of Maori descent and who are members of the Anglican Church.
