At Wanganui Collegiate School we are committed to delivering the national curriculum to our students. We do this in a holistic and family-orientated way with an emphasis on the classroom relationships between teachers and students. These strong relationships have been proven to be successful and we have consistently produced high academic achievements and successes from our student body.
Our junior curriculum concentrates on the key competencies and preparing students for the rigors of NCEA. We offer our Year 9 and 10 students a full experience of all faculty areas in order that they are able to make informed decisions as they move into the Senior school.
Our senior students have a wide range of choices that enable them to gather a breadth of study in preparation for tertiary studies or the wider working world. We are adaptive in our approach and recognise the needs of our community now and in the future.
Digital technologies, and the use of IT as a pedagogical tool, are at the forefront of our minds as we move forward into the future of education and the education of New Zealand’s future leaders.
