• Debating - Jen Savage in NZ team that won 2008 World Youth Debating Championships and individually awarded ‘Best Speaker’
• Rowing - Under 18 Girls Double won gold at the 2009 NZ Secondary School Rowing Championships, Silver in the Under 18 Girls IV and Bronze in the Under 18 Girls VIII
• Entrepreneurship - Talented WCS entrepreneurs represented Wanganui at the 2009 National Final of the Young Enterprise Scheme and awarded 2nd place for their Headhummer product
• International Stage - Fraser Seifert selected as part of the NZ Model United Nations delegation to The Hague in January 2009
• Cross Country - Wanganui Collegiate School Girl’s Cross Country selected to represent New Zealand at the School division of the ISF World School’s Cross Country to be held in the Slovak Republic in April 2010
